Privacy policy

Scope and responsibility

This policy describes the ClipForMe marketing website and video-clipping application. ClipForMe.io operates the service and can be contacted at contact@clipforme.io.

If someone uploads a recording featuring you, they are responsible for having the necessary permission and lawful basis to use it. ClipForMe processes that recording to provide the requested clipping service.

Information we process

Video data includes links you submit, uploaded or imported recordings, audio, thumbnails, source titles and channels, transcripts, captions, clip timestamps, framing settings, scores, and generated exports. Recordings may contain faces, voices, names, or other personal information.

Access and operational data can include session information, access identifiers, IP addresses, browser and request information, job progress, errors, and technical usage records. Messages you send for support may include contact details and information about your issue.

The hosted SaaS uses Google as its only sign-in method. We receive the account identifier, name, email address, and verification information needed to sign you in. We do not receive your Google password. We also store your onboarding choices, the versions of the Terms and Privacy Policy acknowledged, your content-permission confirmation, and the time of acceptance. Where billing is enabled, Bachs provides checkout and the billing portal. We store plan, payment-reference, credit, and subscription records. Card details are entered with the payment provider, not stored in the ClipForMe account database.

How information is used

We use submitted content to import recordings, transcribe speech, find candidate moments, estimate clip scores, generate captions, frame video, and produce requested exports. We use technical information to maintain access, report progress, investigate failures, and protect the service.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to provide the service you request, meet legal obligations, and pursue legitimate operational and security interests where those interests do not override your rights. We seek consent where required, and any optional marketing choice is separate from agreement to the Terms.

Hosting and AI providers

Cloudflare hosts the SaaS account backend, database, workflows, video-processing infrastructure and transactional email delivery. ClipForMe manages processing models and providers on the server. You do not need to install a local model or supply provider API keys. The current preview routes transcription and analysis through Cloudflare Workers AI. Any additional processing provider must be disclosed before it is enabled for your account.

External processing can involve sending audio, transcript text, or selected video frames to the provider used for your job. Not every listed provider receives every job. The service should not be described as entirely local or as having zero provider retention.

Providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable service terms. Where required, international transfers must use safeguards recognized by applicable law. Contact us for information about the providers used for your account. The application does not automatically publish your exports to social platforms.

Cookies and browser storage

The marketing website uses first-party aggregate analytics for page views, button clicks and pricing interactions. It uses no advertising trackers, session replay, analytics cookies or persistent visitor identifier. These events include an allowlisted page and source category, not full URLs, submitted video links or payment details. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable these optional browser events. Signed-in service actions are recorded separately by account for operational usage reporting. Event records are deleted after 90 days. Website hosting still receives ordinary request information. The video-link form passes your submitted link to the app in the destination URL, which may appear in browser history and request logs.

The app uses session cookies for access and browser storage for preferences and recovery state. Reduced motion and compact-sidebar settings are saved in your browser. Recovery information helps avoid repeating an import or processing request after a refresh.

Clearing browser storage can remove preferences and local recovery information; it does not delete recordings or other data already held by the service.

Retention and deletion

Processing creates originals or proxies, audio, transcripts, thumbnails, clips, exports, and job records. Copies may also exist in processing caches, stored checkpoints, or infrastructure backups. Retention must account for these copies, not only what appears in your video library.

We retain information for the purposes described here, taking account of your account status, any stated storage period, support and security needs, and applicable legal requirements. We do not promise permanent storage or one deletion deadline for every type of information. Closing a page, cancelling a job, or clearing browser storage does not remove server-held data.

For a deletion request, email contact@clipforme.io. We need to identify the relevant recordings and verify authority before acting. Any necessary legal retention and remaining provider or backup copies must be explained when the request is handled.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access or correct personal information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and complain to a competent data-protection authority.

These rights can depend on the circumstances and are not all unconditional. We may need information to verify your identity and locate the relevant data. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.

Avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information. If a recording features other people, consider whether you should obtain permission, remove identifying details, or use a different recording before submission.

Security and external services

Access controls and scoped media access are used to protect the service. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep credentials and export links private, and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

YouTube, Twitch, Kick, and other source platforms operate independently and have their own terms and privacy practices. A ClipForMe link to another service does not make that service part of ClipForMe.

Updates and privacy contact

This page will be updated as account access, payments, providers, and retention practices are finalized or changed. Material new uses of personal information require an updated notice and any other steps required by applicable law.

For privacy questions or requests, contact ClipForMe.io at contact@clipforme.io. Include the relevant account or video reference where possible, and do not send passwords.
